The WHSE and Compliance Specialist supports Cole International's commitment to maintaining a safe, healthy, compliant, and operationally efficent workplace. This rolle is responsible for coordinating workplace health, safety and environmental (WHSE) reporting, maintaining regulatory and customer compliance requirements, administering contractor qualification platforms, managing insurance and liability claim documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with branch management and designated WHSE representatives to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in internal and external meetings, conference calls, audits, and training sessions as required
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee, customer, and company information
  • Recommend process improvements that enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and workplace safety
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Business Administration, Human Resources, Risk Management, or a related field is considered an asset
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in health and safety, compliance, administration, insurance claims, or a related role
  • Working knowledge of Canadian occupational health and safety legislation and workplace compliance principles is considered an asset
  • Experience administering contractor qualification platforms such as ISNetworld, Complyworks, and Avetta is considered an asset
  • Experience coordinating insurance or liability claims is considered an asset
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and document management skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting recurring deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement
