Job duties:
Plan and direct the actual distribution of supply chain, customs brokerage, and freight forwarding services to customers in the North American market. Oversee existing client relationships and manage networking initiatives to promote the sale of the company’s professional services. Serve as a liaison between high-level client representatives and the company’s operations teams to deliver customized strategies to transport goods from the u.s. to Canada and vice versa. Coordinate the preparation of quarterly business reviews and key performance indicator reporting. Coordinate the company’s engagement and continued participation in trade and industry associations. Function as the company’s senior representative at industry panels for Canada/united states trade-related topics and issues. Travel throughout the southern united states required approximately 25% of the time.
Minimum Requirements
Education: None
Experience: Two (2) years of senior-level experience managing business development initiatives and large revenue accounts within the North American customs brokerage and freight forwarding industry; managing customer service teams to deliver customized strategies to transport goods from the U.S. to Canada and vice versa; establishing and overseeing initiatives to identify, attract, and secure business opportunities in target sales territories; preparing quarterly business reviews and key performance indicator reports; and advising clients on issues specific to the north american trade industry, including customs and tariff requirements, banking regulations, and insurance coverages.
