What You'll Do
- Translate written materials from English into Québécois French while preserving tone, intent, and legal or commercial accuracy
- Support the translation of:
- Employee communications and company policies
- Employment agreements and HR documentation
- Client-facing materials and service agreements
- Training resources and internal communications
- Additional translation requests as required
- Review communications and documentation to support compliance with Québec language legislation, including Bill 96 and the Charter of the French Language
- Advise internal stakeholders on French language requirements related to:
- Employment documentation
- Customer communications
- Software interfaces and internal tools
- Other business communications as identified
- Identify compliance gaps and recommend practical solutions to support remediation efforts
- Maintain and update a standardized glossary of approved French terminology to ensure consistency across all translated materials
- Partner with HR, Legal, Finance, IT, Operations, and Risk & Controls teams on Québec-specific communication initiatives
- Support audits, reporting, and documentation related to language compliance activities
- Implement quality review and approval processes for translated content
- Ensure consistency in branding, tone, and messaging across Québec-facing communications
- Coordinate with external translation vendors when required
- Provide translation support to other business units within the Mullen Group of Companies as needed
What You'll Bring
- Fluently bilingual in English and French, with strong Québécois French language proficiency
- 3–5+ years of experience in translation, localization, communications, or a related field
- Strong understanding of Québec language legislation, including Bill 96 and the Charter of the French Language
- Experience translating legal, HR, regulatory, or technical documentation is considered an asset
- Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and apply them effectively in a business environment
- Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills
- Ability to collaborate across multiple departments and manage competing priorities
- Post-secondary education in translation, communications, linguistics, or a related discipline is considered an asset
