CBSA starts dumping investigation of certain sucker rods from three countries
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) launched an investigation into the alleged injurious dumping of certain sucker rods from Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico.
The investigation follows a complaint filed by a manufacturer of sucker rods in Alberta.
In the next step of the investigation the Canadian International Trade Tribunal will first determine whether the imports are harming Canadian producers, and will issue a decision by November 29, 2019.
Concurrently, the CBSA will investigate whether the imports are being sold in Canada at unfair prices, and will make a preliminary decision by December 30, 2019.
Anti-dumping duties could eventually be applied to the goods under investigation.
