Senior Financial Analyst
Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst supports the reporting function of the Accounting Department of Cole International and its affiliated companies. This position is responsible for transactional analysis, preparation of key reconciliations, and financial closing procedures in compliance with the financial reporting framework. This position aims to facilitate the timely and accurate preparation of Cole International's financial reports and affiliated companies' financial reports for internal and external users.

Job Responsibilities
- Intercompany transaction entries for Cole International and those affiliated companies
- Full cycle accounting for affiliated companies
- Month-end closing procedures for Cole International
- Preparation of working papers for month ends, quarter ends, and year-end
- Develop financial forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics to monitor and evaluate business performance
- Monitor financial trends and provide analysis of variances to identify areas for improvement
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract data from databases and manipulate large datasets
- Review and make changes to accounting entries
- Exception review, analysis, and fixing
- Work with the IT team to develop and maintain data warehouses and reporting systems to support financial analysis
- Work with the external auditor to meet all audit requirements
- Participate in ERP creation and implementation, and become a subject matter expert of the system
- Creation of systems of control and standard operating procedures in order to reduce risk
- Projects as assigned
- Keep and promote a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- CPA, CFA, or other relevant certification
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis or a related field, preferably in the Customs Brokerage and/or Freight Forwarding Industry
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to manipulate large data sets and create complex financial models
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write and optimize queries to extract data from databases
- Experience accounting in multiple currencies
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to senior management
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
- Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems, such as Oracle, preferred
- Some exposure to year-end audits
