The Government of Canada is holding consultations on proposed amendments to their “Small Spark-Ignition Engine Emissions” regulations.
The Government of Canada is proposing amendments to regulations that will create stricter emission standards for air pollutants from small spark-ignition type engines. The purpose of the amendments is to further reduce smog-forming emissions from such engines. The amendments will also align Canadian standards with those of the United States’ Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Examples of goods that contain small spark-ignition engines:
Generator sets (mobile type)
Chippers / shredders
