The Canadian Government is holding consultations on the potential elimination of duty on certain food manufacturing ingredients. They have invited interested parties to submit their views on the subject.
Why?
Duty on ingredients increases the production costs for Canadian food manufacturers which in turn affects their competitiveness in Canada and abroad.
What Products are being considered?
The products range from fresh, prepared and dried vegies, fresh and dried fruits, spices, juices, cereals, breads, flours, fats, oils, sugars, pasta, yeasts, vinegars, Etc. Click here for a complete list of products.
What do you need to do?

You have an opportunity to submit comments on the proposed tariff elimination. Cole’s Consulting Department can assist you in this regard, by preparing a professionally crafted submission, complete with justification for the same.

Due Date & Information Required:
June 21/16 is the due date for submissions. They must be in writing and must contain specific information as dictated by the Department of Finance.
